For over 20 years, the founder of Paul Lonyuduk Foundation (PauLoF) has been implementing the following projects: taught in schools, built schools, constructed boreholes, offered scholarships, feed children, preached the gospel to the poor in ASAL areas, offered guidance and counselling, clothed the naked, trained teachers and parents. Due to this, he come up with a vision and mission of establishing a sustainable Non-profit making organization which is registered under the Co-ordination Act, 1990 of Kenyan Law. That’s how PauLoF was birthed.

Yet children living in ASAL regions don’t have the priviledge to have even a single meal in a day. You donation towards this cause will go a long way to help the child not only concentrate in class but grow and develop physically, cognizantly and behaviourally

Turkana County lies within the arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya. It experiences low annual and erratic rainfall, with very high temperatures and high evaporation rates.

Turkana County lies within the arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya. It experiences low annual and erratic rainfall, with very high temperatures and high evaporation rates. The water resources in the area are not well developed and as a result, the county faces both physical and economic water scarcity. Other challenges experienced by the inhabitants include cyclical drought and famine, food insecurity, endemic malnutrition among others.

To address some of these challenges, Paul Lonyuduk Foundation has set up this funds drive and support for a water security project for Turkana and it’s ASAL neighbouring communities with special empasis to learning institutions. It aims to provide access to safe, sustainable and well managed water facilities, improve water harvesting technology, provide water for agriculture and livestock as well as promote the use of alternative energy for groundwater pumping in Turkana region.

All children have equal rights to care and protection, and to live a healthy life free from abuse and harm. Our organization defends and promotes these rights for all children on a regional and local level. We work with partners to improve laws, policies and practices so that each child and young person, and their families receive the care and support they need. By advocating to uphold their rights, all children can become their strongest selves.

Paul Lonyuduk Foundation has formed children’s and adolescent groups in the community and schools. The main activity of this project is an awareness campaign on child rights, health, nutrition and education among the group as well as community. Through Children adolescent groups, children have prevented child labour and many childhood marriage which is a thorny issue within this region.

Things happen, tables turn and calamities hit. Lockdowns, meltdowns and many other uncertainties can spell doom to a corporate donor. Natural attrition is a reality that affects all and sundry, donor partners being no exception.

It is against this backdrop that we have a plan of establishing a commercial land for sustaining the organization where we intend to build rental apartments and engage in income generating activities that come along with availability of such assets.

Education is powerful. For every child, a good education unlocks access to a broader range of life choices and chances. But this is especially true for children who, due to difficult life experiences such as family breakdown, miss out on the opportunities and support enjoyed by their peers.

We at Paul Lonyuduk Foundation have a plan for this;

Our plan is to ensure that we use knowledgeable trainers and work with them to create a bespoke package for our particular setting and our children. This is how it should be. In this way, staff are better equipped to do the right thing in the right way.

First and foremost, we’ll ensure that placements are stable. Staff in our homes:

Will have an in-depth understanding of children’s needs are nurturing
Show emotional warmth towards children
Help children to develop independence
Help children to influence decisions made about them.
Children come to trust staff and have a strong sense of belonging. These placements are usually long-lasting, which can help children to make good progress across all aspects of their development.
